Electric Sleep is the second track of a double A-Side release by Dirty Dreamer. It follows on from Air To Breathe which was released in late March. Brooding and balancing on the edge of dark, all of the elements of the track exist in a warm hum and buzz of electronic processing. The vocals are front and centre sitting atop an arrangement of piano, synths, electric guitar, processed vocals, distorted beats and live drums before leading itself into a thick layering of synthesisers, organs and stretched guitars.

“This track was a long time sitting in the archives and existed in many iterations and forms before we felt we had done it justice. It was initially recorded way back in 2017 and it’s one we just kept coming back to and adding to. It felt like a track that needed its own space away from the EP because it has a really strange meandering arrangement that sort of tries to take the listener on a journey. It’s got this long, beautiful outro section that we got lost in making and that we want the listener to get lost in listening to. It’s one chord, layered up a load of times and held onto for ages, sort of like an infinite horizon.
